TMS Students Making a Commitment to a Positive School Year
On the first day of school, Mr. Altman met with each grade level and asked students to commit, in writing, to making this a positive school year. Here students place their hand prints on a poster, making their commitments to a great year at TMS!
TMS Handbook Electronics Policy
The following is the electronics policy as stated in the TMS handbook.† In addition, signs have been placed outside of all restrooms as well as inside and outside of all locker rooms stating that these are technology free areas.† Technology is prohibited in these locations at all times. We will continue to work and communicate with students and parents to make TMS a place where students feel safe and supported.
Students may bring cellular phones, mp3 players, gaming devices and other electronics to school.†However, they may only be used prior to the morning warning bell, during lunch, and after the dismissal†bell unless special permission is given by a TMS faculty member or administrator. The right to use†electronic devices during the school day may be revoked at any time by school administration. Students†who violate this policy will have their devices turned in to the school office. First time violators may pick†up their device at the end of the day. Second time violators will need to have their device picked up by†a parent or guardian. Further violations may result in disciplinary action which may include loss of the†privilege of possessing electronics at school.†Students who choose to bring electronic devices to school are responsible for securing them in a safe†place. TMS will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
